Jewel of Africa donates $5,000 to the Copper Queens
Wednesday night, 24th May, 2023 was all about the Zambian 2012 AFCON legends and the Barcelona legends at the @Ciêla Resort & Spa for Jewel of Africa. Football icons, the likes of Ronaldinho Gaúcho , Patrick Kluivert , Kalusha Bwalya and Christopher Katongo graced the auditorium with their presence.
Jewel of Africa's CEO, Ms. Rashmi Sharma took the opportunity to remind us of the bronze that the Zambia Women's National Soccer Team, also known as the Copper Queens scooped at the 2022 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco. This remarkable feat earned them a spot at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, set to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand starting this July.
As a way of celebrating the significant qualification, Jewel of Africa designed a magnificent football necklace with a 71.62ct Zambian Black Tourmaline(Schorl), wrapped in a dome-shaped outer shell in Zambian 95% pure Silver.
Schorl is well-known for its natural healing properties, such as blocking electromagnetic fields (EMFs) and boosting metabolism, thereby enhancing performance.
The piece was auctioned and sold at the Gala Dinner for $5,000, all to support the Copper Queens journey into the World Cup.
Special thanks to Kings of Africa Sports, PR Girl Media and their partners for according us the platform, Pitch Direct and the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) for partnering with us to make this possible.
After the successful auction of the football necklace made of 71.62ct Zambian Black Tourmaline(Schorl) and Zambian 95% pure Silver last Thursday, during the Barcelona Legends Gala Dinner. The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) this morning hosted us for an official handover ceremony of the piece to Mr. Wu Ming, the General Manager of Higer Bus Zambia Limited.
